Its a sunny, breezy and crisp morning in Brisbane. My favorite kind of day. The lady sitting across from me has taken advantage of the hot coffee and free Internet at McDonalds like I have. Study and blogging is so much more interesting with some caffeine beside you for moral support. Every day I wake up to more signs that winter is on its way. The mornings are getting colder and the nights are requiring softer blankets and hotter water bottles. I love it.So many people think I am crazy, how can anyone love the cold. Very easily. It is impossible to explain but I thrive in the cold. I'm happier, brighter, more awake. Winter means I can bring out my favorite red trench jacket and impressive scarf collection. It gives you a reason to stay inside and even more excuses to drink hot coffee.Winter is many things. Its pumpkin soup, the best food a girl can get. Its hugs for no reason except you are freezing. Its fire, boots and colourful beanies. Winter does not care if you are having a 'Why have I got nothing to wear day'. You can just put on your favorite jacket and brace the day.Winter is embracing the few precious moments of sunlight. Winter is reading in the sunroom. Winter is feeling the cold pinch your face. Winter also means snow - which makes me miss Japan all the more. Winter to me also means homesickness. Home sickness for my second home and favorite country in the world. But on this particular Wednesday morning, winter means that I have work to do and I should get a move on.Winter is beautiful.
