So I dont know what it is, but after 3pm my university becomes really beautiful. Something shifts in the energy and its very obvious if your just sitting still, watching it change. It must be something about the fact that the day is about to end and everyone is happy about this fact. After 3, Griffith Uni is less hectic, running around with textbooks falling everywhere and people yelling OUT OF MY WAY. There's less study and more laughter and groups of guys playing footie on the grass. And funny that I never have or will be interested in football as a game but something about watching it from this angle makes me appreciate the mateship behind it. They look happy. Maybe thats it, everyone is happy after 3. Especially on Fridays. Friday afternoons around this place makes you happy to be alive. ^ ^ I'm such a people watcher.

Incase you wondering, I'm not making that observation in a poor me, look at all those happy people while I'm so sad way. I'm a bit drunk from happiness today. But not in the way I usually am, when something unusually good has happened. Just had one of those quiet, uneventful yet perfect days.

I woke up at 5. 30 (yes am - but didn't mind too much) had an easy run with my hair and got to uni an hour early. Then had my 9am Japanese tutorial which is always good. I really like my Wednesday lecture. She's one of those people who you'd describe as a truely charismic person. Not just quirky but a really memorable person. I think some people find her intimidating but I quite like her. Then (of my own will), I went over my kanji for an hour or two. Right now, for some odd reason, I love writing the kanji for 'think'. It's such a pretty character (haha). Here's what it looks like:
If you ever study Japanese or any language that has special characters you'll quickly learn that - yes - you do develop favorites. So then I had a garden salad sandwich and pub squash with my favorite guy buddies. Even though I'll openly admitt that I usually get along better with girls, it is really nice to have some good male friends to hang out with. There was a very serious discussion as to whether Japanese girls are much 'cuter' than Australians (haha), which probably proves my point. Sometimes its so much easier and enjoyable to just roll your eyes at the perves and just have simple, pure fun without that 'competativeness' or 'bitchiness' you sometimes get in female conversations.
So now here I am. The sun is filtering through the clouds and trees, one of my favorite scenes of nature. That soft light that casts a hallow around everything. And just to show how long its really been since I've written a blog, there is the slightlest hint of summer in the air. Most days its not just a hint actually, you'd think summer was already upon us. But right now its my favorite temperature - just bordering on cold.
Yeah, today was a beautiful day.
xx
