Why do some people insist on being so contradictory and, yes let's say it, pathetic?

A myspace photoalbum that I looked at once was full of statements that say "I don't Photoshop." right next to "Omygod I look so bad here." Ok so you are proud that you dont make yourself look fake, fair enough. But why put it up there if you 'think you look terrible'? And this kind of stuff is everywhere. If you look so bad, why did you put it up there?

Either y0u will admitt that you look pretty good in that photo and don't try to be all ashamed of it, or don't put photos of yourself up at all. I think the legendary John Mayer wrote something on this once. I'll have to find that blog entry, I remember he put it really well.

But yes, this is driving me nuts.
