(I've been meaning to write this blog for months)

One of the best feelings in the world is when you are on the brink of finishing a wonderful book. Just one more chapter to go now. It is so exciting, fuzzy feeling but also sad - in a very good way though.

Currently I have one more chapter to finish in 'Without Reservation' by Alice Steinbach, a lady I deeply admire and aspire to be like. She shares many of the same perspectives that I do: about people, nature, beauty and the world in general.

Like Alice would say, I imagine, when I first saw a photo of her I felt like I already knew what she would look like, like I was looking at the photo of a friend for the first time who I was already acquainted with. I can't recommend her two travel journals enough.

I was so immensely lucky to have found out about her, or maybe I was always meant to read about her. I just happened to glance at this interesting looking book cover. I had passed it a few times on the sale tables and just happened to pick it up to read the back - I will always be so glad I did. And the rest, as they say, is history.

I will always have some physical connection with my books but of course, being a fiction lover myself, I never really had this with a real, non fiction book and while reading both books I had to keep reminding myself that this is what Europe really looks like, and these are real experiences. Such a beautiful read.

I won't ruin it for you by even hinting at what these two books contain. But I promise you that you won't be disappointed. They'll claim a little place in your heart.
