Yes - I have returned from a day of awsome, over the top cosplayers and a spending spree that will have my wallet in tears for weeks (um try years). This weekend Brisbane was taken over by a band of local anime fans, such as myself. This weekend was Brisbane Supernova.

One of my favorite activities around this wonderful time is to sit back and admire the huge amount of work put into some costumes, and especially to watch other peoples reactions to the cosplayers. Last year I saw Inuyasha's real life twin. Today's highlights were Snape (Harry Potter) and Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew. I was like *homer simpson scream* when I saw the Snape lookalike. The resemblence was amazing. Me? No, no I didn't dress up. I could have but didnt expect many people to on the last day of the event. But next year, at least I'll have my costume already.

Because cluelessness is the mother of invention I decided to go as Kiki because I had similar hair length and colour. Below is a beautiful picture of my costume inspiration.

I also got the most wonderful badges ever. (One below is Seshomaru, also bought Inuyasha)

Also finally purchased a DVD copy of my favorite anime witch. Although I'll miss the video version I recorded with the Japanese ads.

It was hot, threatening to rain, my feet were killing me but I loved every moment of it. Can't wait till next year when Moniku and I will make our annual journey to the RNA Showgrounds (and no doubt get hopelessly lost again)
