Call it cheating, but I've always seen lyrics as one of the best forms of poetry.
The music is wonderful but the lyrics in particular make this song beautiful to me.
It is a sad memory mixed with a pleasent reminiscence.
To be honest, Darren Cordeux is my favorite poet, so to speak.

This particular version of the song does something for me. The album recording is beautiful. But this video in particular is everything I love in music. The final few minutes are just ... really, I can't even describe it. I am lucky enough to own 'Where The Light Is' and this track always has the same effect on me. Breathtaking...

In highschool, I did a research assignment on this famous artist. I'd always been intrigued by his conceptual art so knew it would be interesting. After reading about his life and personality I have developed a slight facination with him and love this quote in particular.

I have never been to this beautiful place. But my mother was born there.
I have always wanted to go; not only for the incredible scenery but
also to see the house my mother was born in that still stands, deserted.
I will hopefully see it one day.
